2015 in review

So here is my blog in review for 2015. The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for my blog. I know it’s a little late in coming but since I started in august here’s how things are looking.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 2,500 times in 2015. If it were a cable car, it would take about 42 trips to carry that many people.

I scoured about 4 or 5 different travel websites and read through the many things they suggested to be done in Auckland, many of these things are free, and took the ones I thought would be most important and interesting to do.

Blogging 101 Alumni feature

dr suess.jpgHappy Friday!!!!!!!

I have decided to step up and become a much more active member  on our little community. So, to celebrate this I’m sharing my favourite quotes in our new FRIDAY Feature – 3 quotes.

One of the most fun set of books to read aloud to children are the Dr Suess books. Dr Suess is actually the pen name for Author and illustrator Theodor Seuss Geisel. His books have become some of the most popular children’s books of all time selling over 600 million copies which have been translated into more than 20 languages. He adopted the pen name Dr Suess during his time at Dartmouth college and the University of Oxford. He worked as an illustrator for many years and during WW2 he worked as an animator for the animation department of the United States of America government. After the war, he concentrated on his children’s books and has published over 60, many of which have become films, Tv series and even a broadway musical.

Sickness and journalling

I’ve been on and off work for the last week and a bit. I’ve been feeling really under the weather and it got the better of me last week. I have used this time sleeping and recovering and as I’ve been feeling better I’ve used this time to catch up on my journal.

I’ve also been exploring some new forms of journaling and have done some reading and youtube watching about Bullet journaling. Some interesting examples can be found on Marie claire UK, Life hacker and this in depth, one month in look at what worked and changes were made to make the system work from Boho Berry.
