Brotherhood of the world blogger award

I have been nominated by the wonderful Arpita over at Arpita’s travelogue for the brotherhood of the world blogger award. A big thank you for this kind nomination.

Getting awards from other blogger reminds me of the kind and generous nature of everyone in the blogging community so i’m always happy to pay it forward.

So here are the rules…

Step 1 is to acknowledge the nomination, see above.

Step 2. This requires me to display the badge of the ‘Brotherhood of the World Award’; which I will now proudly display:

brotherhood award

Step 3 is to answer the questions set by the lovely person who has nominated you:

What inspires you the most in life?

I am inspired by children mostly as a teacher i see so much imagination and freedom from them that i wish i could go back to that carefree time. As that is not possible i try to match it in my daily life. I also find travel and reading inspiring as well, so try to do lots of both.

Whats your favourite childhood memory?

hmmmmm this is tough one, i have enjoyed many family holidays within the UK with my family and i have a fairly vivid memory of being in the south of the uk sitting on a gate post pretending to be a gnome. lol. not sure why.

Whats your favourite book?

My favourite book would definitely have to be The Hobbit. It is a book i have read many time since i was little and love it more each time i read it.

If you could spend a day with a famous personality, who would it be & why?

I would love to spent time with J.R.R Tolkein, author of the The Hobbit, as i would love to know how he came up with the ideas for his books and learn more about his writing process.

Whats the story behind the title of your blog?

I have seen many travel blogs and blogs about teaching but felt that s a teaching who is travelling i had a slightly different angle to share my experiences in classrooms across three countries. I think it is a way t share my reflections, things i’ve learned and general ideas. It also allows me a chance to share my travels in more details with friends and family back home.

Moving on to Step 4, it is now time to start nominating other bloggers worthy of this award!

They are:

And now, finally, Step 5 where I think up five questions of my own, for my nominees to answer:

  1. What inspires you to blog?
  2. If you could meet one person, living or dead, who would it be and why?
  3. Where is your favourite travel destination?
  4. What memory of school stands out the most?
  5. What advice would you give to a new blogger?

Thanks again Arpita for the nomination and congratulations to the nominee’s.

Enjoy,

Hello there_ alex
