Three Quotes, Three days – Day 2

So I am taking up the three days, three quotes challenge as passed on by Meg from DrMegSorick, who write a great blog about writing and sharing her journey to self-publishing.

The idea is to post between 1-3 quotes a day for three days challenging a new person each day.

Here is day two, I wanted to share some of my favourite travel/ Tolkien quotes today (I may get over excited and share more than 3)

So today’s challenge goes out to the wonderful Lynz at Lynz Real Cooking. She constantly inspires my taste buds with her recipes. She also gives some interesting insights into life in Saudi and some beautiful pictures. Maybe some food based quotes will be coming our way?

Street Art around the world

Art or destruction of property? Graffiti can be seen as a negative thing but i find it beautiful in the right places. After reading the wonderful blog post about graffiti over at 30 summers i wanted to share some of the other street art that i have found in and around Melbourne and other places i have visited in the world. So here are some of my discoveries….. enjoy.

Photography Spotlight #6 Butterflies

While i was in Australia i went up to Kuranda and visited the Butterfly sanctuary. It was a great place to practise photographing butterflies as there were so many, all over the place. I got some great pictures and this is my Favourite one. I love the contrast between the red of the butterfly and the wooden bench.

Book Nooks

So i have been delayed writing my Monday post on books. Naughty me i know! Many things have been happening over the last week including moving to a new flat, so all the rigmarole of packing, cleaning, unpacking more cleaning etc….. have taken up the time i would normally spend planning and writing posts in advance. However, i wanted to share something bookish with you today but am keeping t short and sweet.

Introducing the Book Nook. I really want a house in which i can sit on a window seat in the sunshine with a great book and a brew. Sigh. Until that time i am going to just have to fantasise on Pinterest what my perfect book nook could be like.

How to find inspiration, ideas and wonderful reading books

As a Relief teacher the first thing i do when i have organised my day, and know what the schedule and planning is, is to look around. I don’t mean just look at the classroom. I mean really look.

Look at the books on the book shelf, the teachers desk, the walls, thumb through the children’s books and anything you can get your hands on (maintaining some privacy of course).

Here are some are some of the places i have found great ideas and inspiration from  Continue reading “How to find inspiration, ideas and wonderful reading books”
